SikaPlast®-70

Usage

SikaPlast 70 is suitable to produce high performance concrete with poor quality sands. The following types of concrete can use SikaPlast®-70:

• Mixes containing harsh aggregates and high percentage of manufactured sand
• Reinforced, precast, prestressed, lightweight, normal weight or pumped concrete.
• Concrete, where reduced water contents and ease of placing and working with tools is needed.

Composition

Aqueous solution of modified polycarboxylate

Shelf life

Stored at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C in unopened original containers, protected from direct sunlight and frost, shelf life is at least one (1) year.

Storage conditions

Store at temperature  between 5^oC and 35^oC, protected from direct sunlight .

Application Information

 

Compatibility

SikaPlast®-70 can be use in conjunction with most of the Sika Concrete admixture, with the exclusion of Sikament NN.

For additional information, please contact your local Sika Representative.

Dispensing

Add SikaPlast®-70 to the initial batching water. For best result, we recommend thorough mixing of wet concrete at 60 seconds per cubic metre of concrete.

Add the remaining gauging water progressively after at least 2/3 wet mixing time to achieve the desired consistency.

Do not add to a dry mix.

Consumption

 

Recommended Dosage

Typical dosage for general concrete production is between 300-600mls per 100kg of total cementitious material. Optimum dosage depends on site condition, job conditions, mix ingredients and desired plastic and hardened properties. Laboratory and field trials are essential in determining the optimum dosage. SikaPlast®-70 can be used at higher doses to achieve a large water cut and increased set times.
