    Set Stabilising Admixture       

    SikaTard®-930 is an admixture developed for the control of cement hydration. SikaTard®-930 stabilises concrete mixes without setting for extended periods and without negatively influencing their quality.

    • SikaTard®-930 blocks cement hydration. This is in contrast to other stabilisers or retarders, which only retard hydration of the cement.
    • The effect of SikaTard®-930 may be immediately stopped when Sika® Sigunit® is used as an accelerator. Thus hydration of the previously stabilised shotcrete will start immediately.
    • SikaTard®-930 does not contain chlorides or any other steel corrosion promoting materials. It can therefore be used in steel reinforced concrete construction without restriction.

    Re- Set Retarder

    Sika Retarder® N is used to retard the setting time of the concrete to allow concreting under conditions of high ambient temperatures and placing of mass concrete. It is designed to be used for pumped, prestressed and structural concrete.

    • Minimises the risk of cold joints.
    • After the initial retardation, the rate of hardening proceeds at a rate equivalent to, or greater than, unretarded normal concrete.
    • Delivery of concrete can be made over long distances from the premix concrete plant.
